Florida - The Cannabis Business (FlaTCB)
Weekly Summary:
For the week May 29 - June 4, 2026, Florida saw a welcome 5th straight week of net new Active Patients gains (totaling an additional 5,693 patients). YTD 2026 net Active Patients have increased just 848, up 0.1% and up 13,049 patients (+1.4%) y/y. Active Patient growth had been a driver of 2025 overall market growth (up 34,997 patients, +3.9%), but that lever is no longer a tailwind so far in 2026. Could it be a sign that the Florida Medical Cannabis Market is showing signs of maturity in its current form (e.g., regulatory framework) or due to sustained wallet pressure on consumers due to inflation; we will have to wait and see. Rescheduling is expected to continue to be a catalyst (e.g., if credit card companies begin to allow cannabis purchases).
Usage per Active Patient of both Flower and Oil Cannabis products continues to be a bright spot and the primary driver of overall market growth. Flower Usage per Active patient hit another record high this week, with Oil Usage per Active Patient only slightly off its recent record high. The 13-week rolling average usage per Active Patient is up 8.2% and 9.8% y/y respectively for Flower Oz. and Oil Mg.
